Baguio’s 24 Hour Restaurants for your late night cravings
There’s definitely something about eating a warm plate of food in a chilly night in Baguio City; Whether you’re looking for a place to eat after partying away on a random night out with your friends, or if you just got to The City of Pines after a long trip. Maybe you just want to go for a drive and need a hearty bowl of soup! Needless to say, these restaurants have their doors open 24/7 for you.

Hailed as the “Best Sinanglao in Baguio” and they live up to their name. It’s a respectable establishment that all kinds of people gather. Whether you are a taxi driver or a drinker, this is the place you go to for pigar pigar and sinanglao. The delicious bowl of soup that you’re looking for after going to Karma, or Hotline? is right there in Edsyl’s Canteen.
2. Mang Ed’s Bakareta
📍: Barp Bldg, Bokawkan, Baguio City

After infamously serving his time in bilibid prison, Mang Ed found God and changed his life through cooking. He opened up Mang Ed’s Bakareta and they serve hearty, honest and down to earth filipino food. Their specialty is of course their Bakareta, which is beef ribs, carrots, potatoes, bell peppers simmered in a tomato based sauce. Personally, I go there for lechon kawali paired with their dinuguan sauce.
3. La Brent

If you’re a student who’s just looking for a quick bite, or to study in a place with good food, La Brent is the place for you. They’re quite accessible and budget friendly, and cater mostly to students. Their Menu highlighting all day breakfast options, fruit teas, and coffees for your all nighters. They have two branches, one in Legarda and one in Leonard wood. Personally, It’s my go-to restaurant after partying in The Camp at Leonard Wood.
4. Chill Cheon Gak
📍: Legarda Street, Baguio City (near Karma)
A very notable establishment and popular samgyupsalan in town. It’s a casual and budget friendly samgyupsalan that’s popular to late night crowds due to it’s 24 hour operations. They have an extensive unlimited buffet and samgyup options, including pork, beef, chicken and duck. You can also have ramyun and shabu-shabu, and a free melona ice cream for your sweet tooth. They’re run by great people, and if you’re particularly hungry on a late night, this is the place to go to.
5. Common Ground
📍: 6 Gen. Lim St, Burnham, Baguio City
What looks to be a repurposed ancestral house, is a quiet, and respectable institution called the Common Ground. It’s the place where students go to study and have a hot cup of coffee. Although the menu is quite pricey, if you need a tranquil place to lock in on your academics, along with other students in the cafe, Common Ground is your place. They also have private study areas that they have for rent, and an al fresco area if you have a date or if you just want to chill with a friend. In any case, if you’re a student in Baguio, try it.
