Overview:
As a Merchandiser, you will be responsible for managing the product appearance and supply within various stores throughout your designated area. You will work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the effective promotion of specific products and services, to drive increased sales over time.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Product Display and Presentation:
Ensure products are displayed according to company guidelines and visual merchandising standards.
Create visually appealing product layouts to attract customers and drive sales.
Inventory Management:
Monitor product stock levels and ensure shelves are adequately stocked.
Coordinate with suppliers and store managers to replenish products promptly.
Product Placement and Organization:
Organize products by category, size, color, or any other factors that align with store strategy.
Rotate stock as needed to ensure that older products are sold first (FIFO – First In, First Out).
Sales Promotion Support:
Implement and manage in-store promotions, discounts, and marketing displays.
Support seasonal or promotional campaigns by adjusting product placements or creating special displays.
Collaboration with Suppliers and Manufacturers:
Work closely with vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers to ensure the timely arrival of products and to resolve any stock issues.
Communicate sales trends and provide feedback to suppliers regarding product performance.
Sales Analysis:
Analyze sales data and product performance to identify trends, stock issues, or opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights and suggestions to optimize the merchandising strategy and increase sales.
Customer Interaction:
Engage with customers to offer product recommendations or assist with product inquiries, enhancing the shopping experience.
Maintenance of Store Standards:
Ensure that store displays remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the day.
Maintain product labeling, pricing, and promotional signage to ensure accuracy.
Store Communication and Reporting:
Communicate regularly with store management regarding product needs, sales trends, and merchandising strategies.
Report inventory levels, sales performance, and other key metrics to headquarters or supervisors.

Carrying and transporting products between stores or storage areas, which may involve occasional travel and lifting boxes or merchandise.
Manual dexterity for handling products, arranging displays, and using tools such as box cutters or price tags.
Good vision for detailed product arrangement, labeling, and visual merchandising tasks.
Ability to work in various environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings, and adjust to different store conditions (e.g., temperature, lighting).
